Planned Longevity™ (PLT for short) is a trademarked lifestyle concept with four divisions or “tool boxes.” Planned Longevity™ is a program designed to use strategies in the form of simple, easy-to-follow guides that help you seek a long and healthy life.
Planned Longevity™ consists of four divisions which we will refer to simply as toolboxes. Each box will contain plans and advice to help you get in and stay in your OMYZONE.
Although not shown, there is a strategy toolbox that integrates the four toolboxes below. The strategy toolbox draws from the four specialty toolboxes below.
PLANNED LONGEVITY™ DIVISION BOXES:
PLANNED LONGEVITY™ TOOLBOXES
Diet Toolbox
Exercise Toolbox
Supplement Toolbox
Technology Toolbox
Let’s look at each one of these boxes separately:
Diet:
Planning meals, creating healthy snacks, and making delicious smoothies and drinks all come into this category. With the use of Chronometer and some other tools, I will design delicious meals and treats that you can enjoy knowing they’re healthy.
I will also explore the physiological side of menu planning and emphasize the healthful aspects of your eating.
A healthy eating lifestyle is the foundation of everything else in health and longevity.
With Chronometer, you can verify the recipe suggestions I offer. Chronometer is free, and with the free version, you can do many things, like getting a nutritional breakdown of the food and drinks I suggest.
Right now, you can click on the above (or below) link and get your free version. You can go a long way with this version, and if you want to go further, you can upgrade for a reasonable price.
Exercise:
Exercise is the second fountain of youth. Think of exercise as being the booster that puts your good food to work, building your strength and vitality. So far, I have only scratched the surface on exercise.
There are many places to go from my fundamental starting place.
Supplements:
I have already laid out a foundational supplement program and all the individual supplements are listed in this post.
We will be doing a lot more on individual supplements and specialty supplements in future posts. Right now these Three “Triad” posts are in the diet section under Planned Longevity™.
Life-Extending Technology:
This will be a new category for both of us. Together, we will explore both emerging technologies and some that are available today. This is an area I haven’t gone into before. As I have often said, technology aside, with what we know right now, there are many more years of healthy living available for those of us willing to work at pursuing them.
I think that now, however, it’s time to start considering some options in the technology field.
Wrap up:
I will be writing more on these four subjects, and there are already some things in there. Click on Planned Longevity™ in the sidebar to find some articles you might not have read.

Hello, I just found your web site a week ago and have already forwarded it to two of my girlfriends. I have been following many health and supplement web sites for years and continue to work towards staying healthy, balanced and strong into my 70’s, which starts later this year. I am impressed with your thorough and well-organized description of what it takes to remain healthy and alive in your later years. And congratulations on your 100 pull-ups on your 77th birthday! Wow- I can only do 5 -10, and can only pull up about 5 inches, but I love the effect that it has on my arms. And I love my little LifePro Rumblex 4D Whole Body Vibration Machine, which is the ‘poor lady’s” version of the Power Plate- it has helped my balance, overall toning and body definition immensely.
I have wanted to get my VO2Max measured. These two presentations had a real impact on my sense of urgency to get a better read on what my true level of fitness is. This first one, I just heard about – Dr. Jeffrey Gladden gives a great explanation of VO2Max and Resting Metabolic Rate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJf-ugLowTc
You’re probably familiar Dr Peter Attia’s discussion with Doc Mike Joyner, #217, as well as his discussion on preserving muscle mass, but that one gave me a true sense of urgency to get my stuff together, because it all really starts going downhill after age 75.

You, sir, are an inspiration, and I appreciate all of your heard work documenting your journey, and sharing what you have learned along the way.
Thank you for the great comments Lucille. I also appreciate your referrals. I am 78 and doing well. The 100 pullup challenge was for myself and my followers. More than anything, I want to inspire others and help them find a way to a better and healthier life. Planned Longevity™ is a concept I have been working on for quite some time, and I hope to make it into a virtual book that I keep updated with new information in the four boxes. It already has some content, and I hope to add more. In fact, that’s what I’m doing today. My mission is to be an evangelist for ordinary people who are not in the anti-aging inner circle and buy the idea that there’s nothing they can do about wasting away. In fact, much can be done, and I want my readers to know this, participate, and become believers. I might make the 100 pullup challenge an annual event. I will view the videos you sent. Thanks so much for your gracious comments.
