Eat a healthy diet: That’s the typical advice everyone gives when it comes to eating. It’s like listening to a Parrott. “Eat a healthy diet, AWK, eat a healthy diet.”
The problem is that hundreds of diets claim to be healthy and the healthiest of all. Obviously, this can’t be true.
My advice is don’t follow the junk diets that litter the internet. Google “Healthy Diets.” and you’ll see what I mean.
Here’s a better idea instead. You can study diets and their nutritional consequences. The USDA publishes a useful and thorough publication on this very thing. You can read it here. It’s quite long and kind of boring, but it’s very informative.
OK, Now What?
If you read the article I linked above, you know more about nutrition than 90+ percent of average citizens, including the ones pushing diets on the internet.
But here’s another question. How do you know you’re getting all the right foods in the right portions by the end of your day? Good question, right?
See, you now know what you need and how much, but you can’t spend your entire life worrying about this – there’s gotta be a better way.
Well, I have the same problem as you, but I use a tool to give me the answers I need about healthy diets. This tool is called Chronometer, pronounced kron-o-meter.
So, how does Chronometer help You with Your Healthy Diet?
- Lets you create a meal (or snack) and gives you its complete nutritional content
- You can save the meal to your menu library for future use.
- You can make changes to your meals and see the nutritional effects immediately.
- You can know if you’re getting everything you need nutritionally in a single meal or in a day.
- Much more, like tracking your weight and fitness.
Diets, Nutrition, and Me:
I have not gone into diets before because I needed a reliable source of professionals to back up what I say. Having this backup allows me to offer advice on food and nutrition. I am not a licensed dietitian, but now I can use Chronometer’s resources to back up what I say.
Chronometer has a team of professionals who study nutrition and food consumption. Their software can break down foods into their macro and micro nutritional components. By planning your meals with Chronometer, you will know what you’re getting and if you’re getting enough.
Chronometer
Is free – it costs you nothing to join. I have used the free version, and for many of you, this free version will meet your needs. Of course, if you want more, there is a Gold version that is very affordable – around five bucks a month.
I am a Gold member myself and have used the free version in the past.
For those of you who want more information, click this link: Chronometer.
Future Dietary Discussions:
From now on, when I discuss diets and healthy foods, Chronometer will be one of, if not the only, verification source.
For example, when I re-do my one-meal-a-day smoothie, I will supply the recipe and stats from my Chronometer account. In other words, it will be verified by a third-party professional.
If you join Chronometer, you can do the same thing, even make dozens of smoothies to put in your own “smoothie bank.”
You can add different ingredients and immediately see their effects. You can make up your own recipes and see their nutritional values immediately.
Summary:
Chromometer has many things to offer on the nutritional side of diets, and it’s free. So I’m inviting you to join. If you want to have other options, you can join the Gold plan as I did.
In the future, I will be using Chronometer as my nutritional assistant. I hope that you will join me and have an assistant of your own.
