From The Unique Weight Loss Diet Meals Smoothie Series:
A Special Recipe For Easy Weight Loss
The Slimmer is A delicious one-meal-a-day diet smoothie that meets your daily nutritional needs with less than 2000 calories.
How many calories do you need daily?
This isn’t a simple question. It depends on your sex, size, and activity levels. More in-depth, it also depends on your metabolic rate or “burn rate.” In addition, there is your digestion efficiency level.
Most factors (except sex) can be measured and displayed on a bell-shaped curve. Like many other things (the BMI rating, for example), we must depend on the averages for this discussion.
The average American woman will burn 2,000 calories daily, and the average man will burn 2,500. Calories are a unit of energy commonly linked to food intake and a way to discuss eating volumetrics.
The SLIMMER smoothie is below 2,000 calories.
It must be, or, on average, you will not lose weight. It might be different for some of you, and you need to be the judge. My purpose is to provide you with food suggestions that meet all your daily needs with less than 2,000 calories so that, man or woman, you will lose weight slowly and keep it off.
Quick or rapid weight loss almost always comes back. There are metabolic reasons for this that I have discussed elsewhere in my newsletters.
Weight lost fast comes back. Weight lost slow will go. Remember this simple saying when you get discouraged or impatient. Weight loss slowly but surely is the way to win in the end.

Blueberries, Strawberries, and Peanut Butter:
Imagine the delicious taste of a smoothie featuring blueberries and strawberries with a background hint of natural peanut butter flavor.
Not only delectable but smooth and creamy, leaving a wonderful aftertaste and feel behind.
That’s what’s awaiting you with the Slimmer smoothie.
Prepare to be delighted.
Blueberries are my favorite smoothie ingredient. Nothing else comes close. Strawberries may be a close second. That’s why strawberries are also featured in this special smoothie recipe.
The Slimmer:
Ingredients:
Whey Protein Powder, 24 Grams of Protein per Scoop, two scops
Banana, Fresh, 1- 8″ Peeled
Blueberries, Frozen, Unsweetened, 1 cup
Strawberries, Frozen, Unsweetened, 1 cup
Broccoli, Frozen, Chopped, Unprepared, 1 cup (yes, I said broccoli)
Tomato Raw, Average size
Peanut Butter, Natural, Unsalted, 2 tbsp
Walnuts chopped, 1 cup
Golden Flax Seed, Ground, 2 oz
Chia Seeds, 2 tbsp
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
1 cup of hot water (it will be cold after blending)
2 cups of cold water.
Preparing:
This will make approximately 40 to 45 ounces of liquid (roughly 4 to 5 cups). The peanut butter, olive oil, flax, and chia seeds will make this smoothie thick and creamy.
Here’s the blender I use, the Vitamix 64 oz. This 64-ounce beauty has the size and power you need to do the job, and it will last a long time. This blender will not quit on you when the going gets tough. It will get you through the thickening process without a problem.
Your blenders should be a little over half full when finished. Don’t use a small blender for this.
Proceed slowly; you’re creating a masterpiece of taste and texture:
Add one cup of hot water along with your blueberries and strawberries. Let these blend until they’re a smooth liquid. (the ingredients also have water; the hot water will release it.)
Next, add your banana, broccoli, and tomato. Let these blend until the liquid is smooth. (It should be slightly creamy at this point.)
These preliminary steps are essential. These are the foundation for a great smoothie.
Next steps:
Add your peanut butter and let it mix in until the peanut butter is liquified.
Add the walnuts and let them blend in – this will thicken the smoothie. Let it blend until there are no chunks – this might take a while, and you might need some extra water. Feel free to add one cup of cold water.
Finally, add the flax, chia seeds, and olive oil, then blend at a higher speed. These final ingredients will make the liquid silky and smooth.
If you want this smoothie thicker and smoother, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Or, If you like, add one more cup of cold water to thin the smoothie out.
Please don’t hurry this process, and don’t throw everything in the blender like you see in TV ads. This will leave you with a mess. Follow the instructions and let the blender do its job – create your masterpiece.
The Slimmer is a full day’s nutrition for the average person. It is not intended to be a meal replacement or something to eat daily. Instead, it is a One Meal A Day slow weight loss recipe to re-power your metabolism and let your body clear itself of sugars and their downstream by-products.
Most readers will not be able to consume the entire smoothie as a single meal. Let the uneaten smoothie stay in the blender in your refrigerator. The ingredients will naturally separate in layers. When returning for seconds and thirds, you’ll need to re-blend the ingredients.
Hint: if you want to warm this smoothie, the Vitamix will do the job. Run it at a higher speed, and the blades will heat the smoothie with friction. This is easy to do and does not require a microwave or stovetop. It also preserves the smoothie’s nutrition and taste while providing you with a warm drink.
Here’s a link with a video showing you how to heat liquids like soups and smoothies with the Vitamix blender. If you make a lot of soups and smoothies, There’s no better investment than a high-quality blender.
This smoothie is naturally sweet:
Because of the berries and the banana, there is a lot of sweetness in The Slimmer. If you want it sweeter, use a protein powder with a sweetener built in (most whey protein powders have sweeteners, but you can also get them with none). Please don’t add sugar or honey – this shouldn’t be necessary and defeats the weight loss value of the Slimmer.
Power Nutrition:
Why the Slimmer is Super Powered:
First, it has almost 2,000 calories – a full day’s caloric needs.
Second, it has 195% of your daily fat requirements and 192% of your protein needs.
Third, it has only 46% carbs. So this is an ideal high-fat, high-protein, low-carb ketogenic meal.
Fourth, it has 179% of your daily fiber needs – essential for gut bacteria.
Fifth, It has abundant Omega 3 fats that produce a healthy fat balance.
Let’s look at these five benefits separately:
2,000 Calories:
This is a full day’s caloric energy for the average person. I want to be clear, however, that this is not intended to be a meal replacement or something to eat every day. Instead, it is a meal to re-power your metabolism and let your body clear itself of sugars and their downstream by-products.
It can, however, be eaten often and will serve you well with your weight loss and weight management.
High Fat, High Protein:
Fat is, by far, the most energy-rich food. It is also digested slowly and keeps you satiated longer. Protein is the building block of almost all tissues and essential for recovery from heavy work and exercise. This smoothie is packed with both of these critical nutrients.
46% Carbohydrates:
This is less than half of what your body would otherwise burn as carbohydrates. Carbs are your body’s first choice for fuel, and your body will burn nothing else unless it’s forced to. The low percentage of carbs in this smoothie makes your body turn to other fuels like proteins and fat – it has no choice.
High Fiber Content 179%:
It is almost impossible to overstate the importance of dietary fiber. With most diets, especially junk food diets, it is difficult to obtain adequate fiber. Low-fiber diets are a major reason for many digestive tract problems. Regular and predictable bowel movements are critical to good health and, over time, encourage a healthy digestive tract.
A high percentage of Omega 3 fats:
Most Western diets are woefully lacking in Omega-3 and high in Omega-6 fats. In this Power Smoothie, there are three sources of Omega-3 fats: Walnuts, Flax, and Chia seeds.
So Make the Slimmer Smoothie and Enjoy:
As I said in this article, this super smoothie is not a meal replacement smoothie. Instead, it is a low-calorie power producer and a clean energy burner. It is not for eating daily, but you can eat it often.
